This cover is designed for Residential property Landlords that wish to cover themselves for the cost of legal fees in the event of a breach of their tenancy agreement. The policy will cover up to a maximum of £50,000 of professional legal fees for any event detailed within the “What is insured” section below providing that all the Tenant Referencing conditions detailed on Page 1 of the main policy terms and conditions.

You must provide full and accurate information to all questions asked. Your answers must be true to the best of your knowledge and belief. Your answers will form part of the statement of facts on which your policy will be based. If you become aware that information you have given us is inaccurate or has changed, you must inform us as soon as possible. Failure to do this may invalidate your policy and claims may not be paid.

Your premium will be payable prior to the policy being issued. Full details of the premium paid will be detailed on your policy schedule.

The policy will expire one calendar year from the date it was issued.
Pursuit of a claim outside the jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales, Scotland and Northern
Ireland.
You must register a claim with us or advise us of an incident that could result in a claim prior to any
proceedings.
You must ensure that you comply with the requirements of any statutory deposit scheme.
You must fully adhere to the Tenant Referencing terms of the policy (see Page 1 of your main policy
terms and conditions for full details).
Maximum legal costs covered are £50,000.

No. There is no excess to pay.

Can I cancel my policy?

Yes. You can cancel without charge within 14 days of the start date of your policy. On the condition that no claims have been made or are pending, we will refund your premium in full. If you wish to cancel your policy after 14 days, you may do so by giving us 30 days notice in writing however no refund will be given.
